“Ask for help not because you are weak. But because you want to remain strong”.

Life can be overwhelming at times, and everyone goes through periods of difficulty. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or self-esteem issues, Heal Counselling and Therapy Services offers a non-judgmental space where you can explore and address your concerns.

Children often have difficulty expressing their emotions and processing difficult experiences with words. At Heal Counselling and Therapy Services, we offer premier counselling for children and youth in the Hamilton and surrounding regions.

At Heal Counselling and Therapy Services, we are proud to offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a transformative therapeutic tool to help individuals heal from trauma, anxiety, and a variety of other emotional challenges.

Partnering with Planting Seeds of Hope, a 46-acre organic farm, the program invites individuals and families of all ages to reconnect with the land as a source of healing, strength, and balance.
Hello & Welcome!
Hi, I’m Jacqueline Boyer, a therapist who offers both land-based and in-office sessions to support people of all ages on their healing journey. I specialize in helping folks move through trauma in a gentle, grounded, and effective way. Whether we’re walking through the forest or sitting in the therapy room, I create a safe and supportive space where healing can happen at your pace.
I’m trained in a wide range of approaches, including EMDR, play therapy, Ego States work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I also integrate body-based techniques to help you regulate your nervous system, feel more present, and reconnect with yourself. I can support conditions such as complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and chronic pain.
I’m also an experienced couples counsellor who understands how modern living—busy schedules, stress, technology, and disconnection—can impact the closeness we feel in our relationships. I help couples slow down, communicate more clearly, and rebuild connection in ways that feel safe, honest, and lasting.
Alongside my professional training, I bring a lot of life experience to this work. I understand that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all and that people’s experiences are shaped by systems, culture, and identity. I am committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I empower those who are navigating or impacted by oppressive systems.
I bring kindness, curiosity, and real experience to this work, and I believe that healing doesn’t have to be done alone. If you’re looking for a therapist who sees the whole you—mind, body, and spirit—and offers a mix of modern tools and traditional wisdom, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

Jackie Ryan is the Executive Director of Planting Seeds of Hope and a passionate Early Childhood Educator who leads with heart, vision, and deep respect for children’s innate connection to Mother Earth. A gifted teacher, trainer, and advocate, Jackie travelled to Peru to study the Children’s Land Program and has since brought its spirit to life in Ontario. Under her care and guidance, local children have transformed a 46-acre organic farm into a vibrant, child-centered sanctuary that includes magical features, a healing garden, wetlands, and a thriving forest. Jackie is deeply committed to amplifying children’s voices, creating spaces where they are seen, heard, and empowered to connect with the land in meaningful ways. Her work creates the environment children need to thrive—away from stress and screens, and back to being held by nature as they explore, play, and learn about their gifts and who they were created to be.

I had been to so many different therapists and had never been able to achieve lasting relief of my trauma and anxiety symptoms. I was about to give up on therapy when I met Jackie. After a couple sessions I felt like a new person and understood what my body was doing so much better. Jackie had a variety of tools to support me in developing a new relationship with myself and the people around me. I am now happier and engaging in life again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Being a therapist myself I am extremely selective of who will be my support system. Jackie is extremely skilled and knowledgeable in a variety of therapeutic modalities and has helped me to heal from burn out and gain insight into why I was lacking boundaries. I highly recommend Jackie for anyone who is looking for a highly skilled therapist.
